Bluetti B700 Expansion Battery – Modular Storage Expansion for EP2000

The Bluetti B700 Expansion Battery is the ideal storage solution for expanding the capacity of the Bluetti EP2000 Energy Storage System. It was specially developed for operation in a high-voltage (HV) system and can be seamlessly integrated into existing EP2000 installations. This makes the B700 ideal for users who want to increase their self-consumption, absorb peak loads, or continue to use their existing PV system economically – especially after the end of EEG subsidies.

 

Note: The B700 can only be operated in combination with the Bluetti EP2000 Hybrid Inverter and the HV800 Battery Controller.

 


Modularly Expandable Power Storage

Each Bluetti B700 provides a usable storage capacity of 7.37 kWh. 2 to 7 B700 battery modules can be operated per EP2000 system. This allows the total capacity to be flexibly expanded from 14.7 kWh to 51.6 kWh – precisely adapted to actual energy requirements.

The modular concept allows for gradual expansion without replacing the existing system. This is particularly interesting for operators of existing systems whose electricity consumption increases over time, e.g., due to heat pumps, e-mobility, or additional consumers in commercial applications.


Safety and Battery Technology

The B700 is based on LiFePO₄ cells (lithium iron phosphate), which are characterized by high cycle stability, thermal stability, and a long service life. This cell chemistry is considered particularly safe and is ideal for stationary energy storage systems.

An integrated Battery Management System (BMS) continuously monitors voltage, temperature, and charge levels. It reliably protects the battery from overcharging, deep discharge, overcurrent, and short circuits. In addition, the robust IP65 housing ensures safe operation even in technical rooms, garages, or sheltered outdoor areas.


High-Voltage Expansion (HV) – More Efficient Than LV Systems

In conjunction with the EP2000, the B700 operates as a high-voltage battery. Compared to classic low-voltage (LV) storage systems, HV technology offers clear advantages:

  • lower currents and thus reduced line losses

  • higher overall efficiency of the storage system

  • more compact design with high performance

  • optimal for larger households, commercial, and agricultural applications

Especially with higher power requirements – for example, in combination with heat pumps, wall boxes, or machinery – the high-voltage architecture demonstrates its strengths.
