Mains disconnect switch
A mains disconnect switch is required to safely connect and feed an emergency power generator into a building network.
The switch disconnector has three positions: mains - zero - emergency power. This means that the building network is separated from the public network when it is fed in by an emergency generator.
The installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician; in most cases the installation must also be reported to the network operator.
