BLUETTI · SOLAR ENERGY STORAGE
BLUETTI EP2000 + 2 × B700 – 14.7 kWh Storage Kit
The BLUETTI EP2000 kit includes an EP2000 hybrid inverter, HV800 battery controller, 2 × B700 LiFePO4 batteries, EMS and base. It provides 14.7456 kWh nominal battery energy and 10.5 kW rated AC output in this two-battery configuration. Three-phase 400/230 V operation, up to 30 kW PV input and appropriately engineered backup support make it suitable for solar retrofits and self-consumption.
Key specifications
Description and system design
This specific listing is for the two-B700 configuration, not the largest EP2000 installation. Each B700 provides 7,372.8 Wh, or 14,745.6 Wh nominal for two. The regular AC rating is 10.5 kW with two batteries; the manufacturer lists 15.5 kW with three and 20 kW with four to seven B700 modules.
An important application is retrofitting existing photovoltaic installations, including systems beyond their original feed-in tariff. Optional AC coupling can support existing solar inverters. Whether existing wiring and equipment can remain in place must be verified by the installer; a retrofit without any electrical work is not guaranteed.
The BLUETTI app and EMS enable monitoring and energy management modes such as self-consumption, backup reserve and time-of-use optimisation. Backup operation requires the appropriate meter, transfer and protective equipment; the advertised sub-10 ms transfer performance applies only to correctly configured supported setups.
Benefits and equipment
7,372.8 Wh LFP per module.
Not the 20 kW figure of larger configurations.
Up to 30 kW PV input according to manufacturer.
For suitable building and commercial installations.
For suitable existing solar inverters.
Two to seven B700 modules per suitable system.
Transfer subject to proper system installation.
Track energy flows, battery state and operating modes.
Technical features explained
Retrofitting existing solar arrays
The EP2000 can raise the self-consumption share of an existing PV system and is attractive after feed-in tariffs expire. AC coupling may preserve an existing inverter when equipment and wiring are compatible, but an installation without any modification is not guaranteed.
10.5 kW with two batteries
The manufacturer's output matrix relates output to battery count: 2 batteries = 10.5 kW, three = 15.5 kW and four to seven = 20 kW. Some sources refer to 20 kW with additional PV input, which must not be presented as the continuous battery-only output rating of this two-module set.
14,745.6 Wh and HV battery architecture
Each B700 stores 7,372.8 Wh of LiFePO4 energy. The HV800 supervises battery charging and discharging. The high-voltage design can reduce cable losses in suitable systems and supports scalable storage. High-voltage DC work requires qualified electricians.
PV input, MPPT and solar limits
The maker quotes up to 30 kW PV input, 1,000 V maximum PV voltage and an MPPT range around 160–850 V. String count and current limits must be sized for the exact revision, module characteristics, temperature and local grid requirements.
Backup switching and grid connection
The sub-10 ms transfer specification applies only to approved completed systems. Meters, grid isolation, transfer devices, RCDs and breakers must be designed for the installation. Grid connection requires professional electrical work and compliance with local rules.
Safety, enclosure protection and VAT
BLUETTI specifies IP65 for the relevant components, LiFePO4 chemistry and a conditional 10-year manufacturer warranty. The previous SEV text discusses multiple layers of battery, controller, inverter, mechanical and system security. German 0% PV VAT is conditional on statutory eligibility.
Suitable applications
Increase self-consumption after feed-in tariff expiry.
Store electricity for household use.
Storage for compatible three-phase installations.
System design for refrigeration and time-dependent loads.
Combine direct PV and optional AC coupling.
Supply essential circuits with engineered transfer.
Important kit configuration
This listing contains two B700 batteries and has 10.5 kW regular rated AC output. A complete solar/backup installation may additionally require metering, protection and transfer equipment.

Frequently asked questions
What is included in the kit?
EP2000, HV800, two B700 batteries, EMS and base stand per SEV-listed contents.
How large is the battery?
2 × 7,372.8 Wh = 14,745.6 Wh, approximately 14.7 kWh.
Does this exact kit deliver 20 kW?
Regular rated output with two B700 is 10.5 kW; 20 kW ratings concern larger battery configurations or separate PV-assisted conditions.
Can I retain my existing PV inverter?
Optional AC coupling may be possible if the inverter and wiring are compatible; professional assessment is required.
Can I connect it to building wiring?
Yes, as a three-phase energy storage installation with professional protection and transfer equipment.
Is backup transfer uninterrupted?
Under 10 ms is a manufacturer figure for supported installations, not a guarantee without proper engineering.
Can the storage be expanded?
Up to seven B700 modules per approved EP2000/HV800 configuration.
When can 0% German VAT apply?
Only when statutory requirements are met for the specific solar transaction.
