LYS POWER · MOBILE BATTERY ENERGY STORAGE

LYS PowerGiant 3600 – professional mobile battery power

3,600 W continuous output, up to 20,000 W instantaneous peak output and 2,304 Wh capacity: the LYS PowerGiant 3600 is a rugged portable 230 V power solution for construction, trades, industry, events and outdoor work. NCA lithium cells, pure sine wave AC, IP54 protection, rapid charging and a Bluetooth app offer a flexible alternative to keeping a combustion engine running.

Professional 230 V battery storage for tools and high inrush currents

When tools, electrically driven machines or equipment need power away from the mains, the LYS PowerGiant 3600 combines substantial output with a compact housing. It supplies 230 V / 50 Hz pure sine wave AC at 3.6 kW continuous output. The NCA 21700 lithium-ion battery rated at 2,304 Wh is designed for high energy density and mobile use across changing work sites.

The advertised 20 kW peak output is intended for very short surges, for example when suitable compressors, pumps or power tools start. It does not mean that the system can supply 20 kW continuously. The manufacturer provides separate overload ranges, including 5.4 to 7.2 kW for more than 50 seconds under specified conditions. Inrush current, running power and the actual load profile are decisive when selecting a power supply.

With IP54 protection, low operating noise, ergonomic carrying areas and a 23.8 kg net weight , the PowerGiant is well suited to professional service vehicles, construction teams and suitable outdoor tasks. During battery operation it creates no combustion exhaust at the point of use. Unlike a fuel generator it needs no refuelling or engine start, although remaining battery energy and charging intervals must be planned.

Why PowerGiant 3600 works well in daily professional use

Power for welders, compressors and power tools

The manufacturer designed the system for demanding loads with high inrush currents and cites welding equipment and air compressors as examples. Actual compatibility depends on each tool's input requirements and startup behaviour. The overload time limits in the specifications help with appropriate selection.

Rugged housing for dust, splashes and changing locations

IP54 means limited dust ingress protection and resistance to splashing water; it does not mean the unit is waterproof or suitable for immersion. Dimensions of 526 × 211 × 485 mm, combined with ergonomic carrying handles, make it practical for mobile jobs.

Rapid charging between jobs

With a suitable mains supply, the manufacturer quotes around 2.3 to 2.5 hours for a full charge and about 90% in 1.8 hours. This supports planned charging intervals. The current manufacturer's specifications give a maximum AC input of 1,200 W; some earlier documents quote a different figure, so the delivered unit's revision remains decisive.

Bluetooth app with records and alerts

The PowerGiant app can show operating state, input/output power, temperature and battery level. According to the manufacturer it also supports up to 100 charging records, fault alerts, remote controls and OTA updates. Feature availability may depend on the software version.

Expandable with the right system accessories

A single unit outputs 230 V single-phase power only. Three compatible PowerGiant 3600 units combined with the separately sold LYS PG3600-LINK can provide 400 V three-phase power, 6,912 Wh total capacity and up to 10.8 kW of combined rated output. The other two storage units and link box are not included here.

An alternative to petrol or diesel generators

Battery operation requires no engine starting, fuel refilling or local exhaust emissions. This can reduce noise and engine maintenance. The economic benefit depends on electricity cost, load, deployment duration and charging conditions.

Suitable applications

Construction and interior fit-out

Mobile power for compatible tools, cutting equipment, drills and demolition work.

Industry and service vehicles

Temporary power for assembly, maintenance, testing and repairs.

Municipal services and emergency response

Power for suitable mobile maintenance, checks and supporting operations.

Film, events and night-time work

Quiet energy supply for compatible lighting, audio and production equipment.

Agriculture, tunnels and infrastructure

Portable power during inspection, maintenance, field work and remote operations.

Portable machines and pumps

Powerful 230 V supply where starting currents and running loads remain within the system's ratings.

How long does a battery charge last?

A simple estimate divides storage capacity by average power consumption: 2.304 kWh ÷ 1 kW ≈ 2.3 hours, or theoretically around 4.6 hours at 500 W. In practice, conversion losses, standby consumption, temperature and the load profile reduce available runtime; high continuous loads can drain the battery considerably faster. A short instantaneous power peak does not indicate sustained runtime.

Frequently asked questions about the LYS PowerGiant 3600

Can PowerGiant 3600 continuously deliver 20 kW?

No. Continuous output is 3,600 W. The advertised 20,000 W figure is an instantaneous peak rating. Overload time limits apply, and the exact load must be assessed.

Will it run welding equipment and air compressors?

The manufacturer cites such equipment as examples of high-inrush loads. Suitability depends on actual input power, starting current, operating profile and the tool's requirements.

How long does the 2,304 Wh battery last?

Runtime depends on average power draw. At a constant 1,000 W, the theoretical figure is around 2.3 hours before losses and standby draw.

How quickly can it recharge?

The manufacturer quotes around 2.3 to 2.5 hours for full charge. The existing product description states approximately 90% after 1.8 hours. Both depend on charging conditions.

Is the unit suitable for construction sites and outdoor use?

Its IP54 enclosure protects against dust and splashing water. Relevant electrical safety and connection requirements must still be observed.

Can I obtain 400 V three-phase power from one unit?

No. One PowerGiant 3600 outputs 230 V single-phase. A compatible system using three units and the separately sold PG3600-LINK is required for 400 V.

Does this standard unit include an RCD?

This standard listing is not specified as the RCD model. For applications requiring residual-current protection, please check the separate PowerGiant 3600 RCD version.

Can I monitor it from an app?

Yes. The Bluetooth PowerGiant app supports status, power and temperature displays, with further functionality such as alerts and updates depending on the software version.

Which PowerGiant configuration is right for you?

This listing is the single-phase PowerGiant 3600 with IP54 and Schuko outlets. For an integrated RCD and CEE socket, choose the separately offered PowerGiant 3600 RCD. If you need 400 V three-phase power, a system with three PowerGiant units and the PG3600-LINK is the appropriate starting point.

Planning professional mobile power?

We can help you choose the right power configuration, assess running and starting loads, check safety measures and decide whether the standard unit, RCD version or three-phase bundle is most suitable.
